Do you remember jumping on the Hopscotch grids during outdoor recess? Drawing your own grids? Tossing stones? Well, while perusing Pinterest one day, I came across some pictures similar to these. I’ve seen people paint stepping stones, so I got these 12″x 12″ pavers, gathered the kids and began the project!
It had to be one of the most humid days of the season, as you can actually SEE the humidity in these pictures. But that weather didn’t stop us. We just added a couple extra coats of paint. š When all was said and done, I sprayed a sealer on the tops of the pavers to protect the paint, and began digging out the spots for the pavers. Mission accomplished!
(If you are wondering about the “slick” layer on the pavers from the sealer, I will assure you, a layer of dirt prevents any “slick” spots. We’ll just call this our “rustic” hopscotch.)
